I have over two decades of experience working with neurodiverse learners, especially students on the autism spectrum. As a parent of two autistic children, I understand firsthand the importance of recognizing each child’s unique worldview.
Many of my autistic pupils mention that I “get” how their minds work—often in ways their mainstream classrooms have not.
Some students who are unable to access a typical school setting have found success and enjoyment in my lessons because I adapt my teaching to how they learn best, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and supported.
